Slight increase in fuel prices

The prices of gasoline, diesel and fuel oil continue to rise in Lebanon, according to the latest price list published on Friday by the Ministry of Energy and Water. The price of domestic gas, which changes less frequently, remains unchanged.

The last decrease for these three fuels occurred on Dec. 24, while within a month (between December and January), hydrocarbon prices increased moderately: vehicle diesel rose by 2.42 percent, 95-octane gasoline by 3.06 percent, 98-octane gasoline by 2.98 percent, and fuel oil used for generators by 2.61 percent.

Here are the new prices compared to the previous list:

- 20 liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL1,468,000 (+LL22,000)

- 20 liters of 98-octane gasoline: LL1,508,000 (+LL22,000)

- 20 liters of diesel (for vehicles): LL1,380,000 (+LL26,000)

- Domestic gas cylinder: LL1,080,000 (unchanged)

- Kiloliter of fuel oil (used to power private electric generators): $709.07, up by $14.38 compared to Tuesday's list.
