Nawaf Salam set the tone. "By my nature and political activity, I am against marginalization and exclusion. I am for unity, agreement, and partnership. I extend my hand to everyone to lead the mission of rescue and reform (...)" declared the designated prime minister during his first official speech in Baabda following a meeting with President Joseph Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, on Tuesday.Obviously, these statements are addressed to the Amal Movement and Hezbollah, who are struggling to accept Salam's designation, as they were pushing to reinstate caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati.
