The Israeli army briefly abducted two beekeepers on Monday in the Mari plain (Hasbaya district), located in the eastern sector of the border between Lebanon and Israel, according to residents cited by our correspondent in the region, Mountasser Abdallah.

This arrest, which the Israeli army did not comment on, occurred as Israeli forces advance in the region. The two men were released after questioning.

The Israeli army was unable to reach the Mari region between the announcement of the launch of its ground offensive on Sept. 30 and the entry into force of the cease-fire on Nov. 27. It continues its movements in this area while withdrawing from other regions.
