Violent burglary in Akkar: Concierge tied up, $100,000 in cash and jewelry stolen

Five armed men stormed the house of an orthodontist in Sheikh Taba, a village in Akkar, Northern Lebanon, overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. They forcibly stole over $100,000 worth of goods, including cash and jewelry, according to security sources reported by L'Orient Today's correspondent.

The home of Dr. Fidel Elias Nabbout was broken into, and the burglars broke locks, "before overpowering and tying up the concierge." They then took jewelry and cash, totaling over $100,000, according to security sources.

Security forces arrived on the scene shortly after the robbery to conduct initial investigations. An inquiry has been launched to determine the circumstances of the attack and identify the perpetrators.
