The U.N. agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) said on X Tuesday that “thousands of displaced people queue for food for hours on end” in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
In Khan Younis, #Gaza, thousands of displaced people queue for food for hours on end. With supplies very scarce, many of them leave empty-handed.

“With supplies very scarce, many of them leave empty-handed,” UNRWA said on X.
“Time is running out, while the needs continue to increase quickly and massively,” it added, calling for an immediate cease-fire.
In November, the World Food Programme (WFP) described markets “in decay” across the enclave. “Fresh foods, eggs, and meat barely exist and the prices of any food available have reached record highs,” the U.N. agency said on X, just days since U.N.-backed hunger experts warned that famine thresholds may have already been crossed in northern Gaza, or will be soon.
The U.N. and international organizations have repeatedly condemned Israel's strategy of limiting humanitarian aid to Gaza as part of its effort to weaken Hamas.
