Gaza Health Ministry announces new death toll of 45,259

The Gaza Health Ministry announced Sunday a new death toll of 45,259 in the Palestinian territory since the start of the war with Israel more than 14 months ago.

At least 32 people were killed in the past 24 hours, the ministry stated in a press release, adding that 107,627 people have been injured in Gaza since the conflict began.

The war was triggered by an unprecedented attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
