Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati arrived in Turkey on Wednesday afternoon for a 'state visit,' during which he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the presidential palace in Ankara, according to a statement released by the Grand Serail on X and Turkish media outlets.
According to Turkish official communication, the discussions focused on bilateral relations as well as developments in Syria and the Palestinian territories.
Mikati was accompanied by caretaker ministers of Tourism, Walid Nassar; Energy and Water, Walid Fayyad; Environment, Nasser Yassin; and Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh. The Lebanese ambassador to Turkey, Ghassan Mouallem, and a representative of the Lebanese Army Command Brig. Gen. Youssef Haddad was also part of the delegation.
