BEIRUT — Israeli forces released Abdo Mohammed Abdel Aal on Sunday after he was detained Saturday in the Majidieh plain (Hasbaya), our correspondent in the South reported.
Abdel Aal is a livestock owner, but it was later revealed that he's also a soldier in the army.
Despite a declared cease-fire, Israel has reportedly violated the agreement through continued military actions.
Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon have killed, since the cease-fire on Nov. 27, at least 34 people, mostly civilians. The Israeli army, which forbids Lebanese from entering an approximately 10-kilometer-wide zone along the border and is still present in some Lebanese villages, has temporarily abducted people since then.
