Hezbollah’s arsenal... under the state’s control?

Since the cease-fire entered into effect, Hezbollah officials have repeatedly expressed their openness to participate in a “dialogue” on weapons and a defense strategy. However, their sincerity is called into question.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem, Deputy head of Hezbollah’s political council Mahmoud Qomati and head of the party’s parliamentary bloc Mohammad Raad. In the past few days, several senior Hezbollah officials indicated that the party is open to participating in a “dialogue” to resolve its sensitive arsenal issue.
