The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, has sent a letter to Hezbollah Secretary General Naim qassem, in which he states that a cease-fire in Lebanon could be the beginning of a cease-fire and the end of the war in the Gaza Strip, reports Hezbollah-affiliated television station Al-Manar. He added that “the acceptance of the truce ... has confirmed to the supporters of the occupation that it will come to an end, and that we will spare no effort in continuing to support the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance.”
In the same message, Salami stressed that “the cease-fire on the Lebanese front constitutes a strategic failure for Israel,” reports Russia Today. “The cease-fire on the Lebanese front is a strategic and humiliating failure for the Zionist entity, which is far from having achieved one of its objectives in the war against Hezbollah. Hezbollah has won and imposed a cease-fire on the Zionist entity.”
