A Lebanese security official reports an Israeli strike on Beirut. According to reports from the field, the strike on Beirut took place between the neighborhoods of Noueiri and Basta al-Fawqa.

This strike comes a few days after a deadly strike on the Basta district. At 4 a.m. on Saturday, an Israeli bombardment caused the destruction of an eight-story building and the death of 29 people.

Tuesday's strike comes at a time when Israeli, Lebanese and American officials are reporting progress towards a cease-fire, which could be concluded in the coming hours.

It also comes as the Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued a new series of warnings in anticipation of Israeli bombardments in Beirut's southern suburbs. The districts of Hadath, Burj al-Barajneh and Haret Hreik are concerned.
