The European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, urged Israel on Tuesday to support a proposed cease-fire agreement in Lebanon that he said offered “all the necessary security guarantees for Israel,” he said in remarks relayed by Reuters.

Speaking at a meeting of G7 foreign ministers, he added that there was “no excuse” for not implementing the agreement with Hezbollah, adding that Israel should be “pressured” to approve it today.

“You can't approve of the Court when it acts against Putin and oppose it when it targets Netanyahu,” said Borell on the publication of the ICC arrest warrant issued last week against the Israeli Prime Minister.
