Against all odds and after months of hesitation and pressure, the International Criminal Court (ICC) decided to follow the requests made six months ago by its prosecutor, Karim Khan, by issuing, Thursday, Nov. 21, three arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas officials. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, dismissed Nov. 9, were accused of perpetrating “crimes against humanity and war crimes.” The same charges were also brought against Hamas military commander Mohammad Deif, whose death, reported by Israel, has not been confirmed by Hamas.
