An Israeli airstrike on Monday targeted a house, where reportedly a Syrian family was living, in Ain Yaakoub, a village in northern Lebanon’s Akkar region, our correspondent reported.
The home’s 22 residents are originally from Arab Salim, a village in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh district, added our correspondent.
The property, owned by Hussein Hashem, was struck along with a car parked nearby. Civil Defense teams responded to the scene, where “numerous casualties” and "remains" were reported. So far, two individuals were transported to Halba Government Hospital.
The exact number of dead and injured is not yet known. However, graphic photos received by L'Orient Today show multiple people injured, including children, being carried on stretchers and pulled from the rubble.
