Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar: two pro-Palestine congresswomen reelected despite the Trump wave
The two Democratic representatives — the first Muslim women elected to Congress in 2018 — secured decisive wins in their districts, thus renewing their terms in the House of Representatives.

Both are outspoken critics of Israel, advocating for an end to Washington's arms exports — a stance that has drawn sharp criticism from across the American political spectrum. On Wednesday, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar decisively won reelection to the House of Representatives in their respective districts: Rashida Tlaib, of Palestinian descent, in Michigan’s 12th District and Ilhan Omar, of Somali descent, in Minnesota’s 5th District.
