Israel resumes strikes on southern Lebanon
Israel has launched a new wave of airstrikes across various parts of southern Lebanon, carrying out at least five strikes within the space of a few minutes.
Two missiles were first fired at the hamlet of Ain al-Samahiya situated between the towns of Mayfadoun and Zawtar Sharqieh (Nabatieh).
Israeli warplanes subsequently targeted Wadi Zibqine (Sour), Qantara (Marjayoun), and Srebbine (Bint Jbeil) in three separate strikes.
Braasheet municipality condemns killing of teacher in Israeli gunfire attack
The municipality of Braasheet (Bint Jbeil) has issued a statement condemning the shooting by Israeli soldiers at the village, which killed teacher Adib Ibrahim Obeid. It denounced “yet another attack, adding to the series of Israeli aggressions against our residents and our villages in the South,” as well as a “flagrant violation” of international humanitarian law.
The municipality also called on the Lebanese authorities, the U.N. and the international community to “assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, intervene immediately and effectively to protect civilians and residents of border towns, put an end to the repeated Israeli attacks and hold those responsible to account.”
It added that “the blood of our residents is not just another news item” and that “the silence in the face of these crimes cannot continue.”
Further Israeli air strikes on southern Lebanon, including Mansouri (Sour)
The Israeli air force has resumed its air strikes against southern Lebanon, having carried out at least four raids on various areas.
Two of these targeted the village of Mansouri (Tyre), which was again pounded by Israeli troops on Monday. Israeli warplanes also bombed an area between the villages of Bani Hayyan and Qantara (Marjeyoun), as well as the village of Kfartebnit.
On the coast, Israeli armoured vehicles were also seen moving towards Bayada. Furthermore, artillery fire targeted the outskirts of Kfartebnit and Nabatiyé el-Faouqa.
Further large-scale Israeli demolitions in Mansouri (Sour)
Israeli occupation forces have once again blown up several homes in a neighborhood of the village of Mansouri (Sour), in what is the largest demolition carried out in southern Lebanon today, our correspondent reports.
Shortly before that, a third Israeli air strike had already targeted this coastal town, which had been the target of several attacks throughout the day.
In the afternoon, an Israeli strike hit an excavator at the entrance to Kfar Tibnit (Nabatieh), causing a fire. Civil Defense teams, supported by the Lebanese Army, intervened to extinguish the flames.
In addition, Israeli artillery fire targeted the bed of the Litani River, below Beaufort Castle.
Netanyahu threatens 'harsher blows' in event of 'enemy' attack on Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened “even harsher blows” if “Israel’s enemies decide to attack again,” according to a video released by his office, reports AFP.
Referring to the claimed destruction of Hezbollah’s alleged underground infrastructure in southern Lebanon, which he described as a “major victory,” Netanyahu stated: “I say to our enemies: if you have not yet learnt your lesson and decide to attack us again, you will face even harsher blows.”
“Our policy is clear: we will continue to destroy terrorist infrastructure in the security zone in Lebanon. We will continue to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel,” he added.
Southern Lebanon: Teacher dies from injuries sustained after being hit by Israeli gunfire in Braasheet
Adib Obeid, a teacher from the village of Braasheet (Bint Jbeil), succumbed to his injuries on Monday after being hit by Israeli gunfire, reports our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
Obeid had been taken to hospital after being wounded during a sweeping gunfire operation carried out by Israeli occupying forces against the village, situated on the outskirts of the so-called "Yellow Line," which marks the boundaries of the areas occupied by Israel in the south of the country.
Meanwhile, an Israeli drone fired a missile at the village of Jarmaq (Jezzine), whilst two further Israeli strikes targeted the village of Qantara, as well as an area between Adsheet al-Qousseir and Taybeh (Marjayoun).
Trump says he will decide whether the US 'will or will not' engage in seeking new deal with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran wanted to reach a new deal with the U.S. and that he would decide whether Washington would or would not engage in this process.
“The Iranian nation, in the midst of failure, wants to strike a deal, quickly and desperately. I will determine whether or not the United States chooses to engage — a possibility to which we are open,” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Southern Lebanon: Fire caused by Israeli shelling near Kfar Shuba
Israeli artillery fire caused a fire in the hamlet of Seddane, on the outskirts of Kfar Shuba (Hasbaya), before a second explosion was subsequently triggered by the Israeli army in the same area, further spreading the flames, our correspondent in the South reported.
Elsewhere, a barrage of artillery fire targeted Haddatha (Bint Jbeil), whilst further automatic gunfire targeted Mansouri (Sour).
Israeli strike on Khan Yunis kills at least 1 Palestinian and injures several others
Israel has killed at least one person and injured several others in a strike on a tent in the Mawassi camp for displaced Palestinians, reports Al Jazeera, citing a medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. The camp is located west of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reopening of bridge across Litani River, linking districts of Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil
The road linking the village of Qaaqaaiyet al-Jisr, north of the Litani River, to Froun, south of the river, was reopened to traffic on Monday following the completion of resurfacing works, allowing traffic to return to normal after the disruption caused by Israeli strikes which destroyed this bridge linking the districts of Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.
Furthermore, occupying Israeli forces carried out two demolitions targeting homes in Majdal Zoun (Sour). They also set fire to several houses in Tiri (Bint Jbeil). Israeli artillery also shelled Mansouri (Sour) and Nabatieh Fawqa.
Damaged Saudi oil pipeline reportedly out of service ‘several weeks’
A crucial Saudi oil pipeline attacked last week will mostly be out of service for weeks as the damage is repaired, two unnamed officials told AP.
The officials, who have been briefed on the matter, said repairing the damage could take three to five weeks, including at a major pumping facility.
One of the officials said the line may work partially while teams carry out repairs. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to brief the media.
The East-West Pipeline, which runs across the kingdom, is key to Saudi Arabia’s strategy of shifting its oil exports to the Red Sea to avoid the Strait of Hormuz, where Iranian attacks have stifled shipping.
The 1,200-km pipeline can carry up to seven million barrels of oil a day. The attack that Saudi Arabia blamed on drones from militias in Iraq forced the shutdown of the pipeline on Thursday.
WHO says nearly 3,000 casualties in Yemen after days of fighting
The World Health Organization (WHO) released a report saying that escalating fighting on multiple fronts in Yemen resulted in 2,883 casualties — 504 deaths and 2,379 injuries — between Sept. 6-12.
The report said that at least 77,789 people were displaced across several governorates — including Taiz, Marib, al-Jawf, Lahj, Hodeida, Abyan, and Shabwa — as of Friday.
The report also noted that Marib governorate recorded the highest daily casualty toll with 469 people killed or wounded on Sept. 9, followed by 177 the next day, and 219 cases last Friday.
Marib accounted for 49% of total casualties while Taiz and areas along the west coast represented 43%.
Israeli forces fire toward young men in Shaqra, no injuries reported
Israeli forces fired toward young men near the landfill in Shaqra (Bint Jbeil), damaging a municipal vehicle, while Israeli military vehicles moved toward Wadi Slouqi between Mais al-Jabal and Shaqra (Bint Jbeil). The young men withdrew from the area without injuries, according to L’Orient Today’s correspondent in southern Lebanon.
Israeli forces also carried out an explosion in Bint Jbeil and an bulldozing operation on land in Mansouri (Sour), amid Israeli artillery fire targeting Mansouri and Nabatieh Fawqa (Nabatieh), as well as the outskirts of Kfar Tibnit and Arnoun (Nabatieh).
MBS meets U.S. Central Command chief
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) met with U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) chief Brad Cooper in Jeddah on Monday.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, the report added.
Saudi Arabia has increased air strikes on Yemen after the Houthis made advances in the country taking over the Red Sea Coast including the strategic Bab al-Mandeb shipping route.

Iran nuclear chief blocked by US from Vienna meeting
Iran’s nuclear chief was prevented from attending an annual conference at the headquarters of the U.N.’s nuclear agency in Austria after opposition from the United States.
“Mohammad Eslami and his delegation took a regular flight to Vienna on Saturday, but were blocked on the way because of obstructions by the United States,” the official Iranian state broadcaster reported.
Tehran summoned Austria’s chargé d’affaires in response to the decision to bar Eslami.
“The Austrian government’s refusal to issue visas to the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a completely unjustified decision,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said.
3 camps belonging to Iranian Kurdish opposition groups targeted by missiles in Sulaimaniyah
Missiles targeted three camps belonging to Iranian Kurdish opposition groups east of Sulaimaniyah in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region this morning, two security sources told Reuters, adding that no casualties had been reported.
Iran denies any involvement in Yemen war
Iran's foreign ministry on Monday denied the country had any involvement in the war in Yemen, after the Houthis seized more territory.
"Iran does not interfere in Yemeni affairs," ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei told reporters, saying the Houthis are "entirely independent actors who make their decisions based on their own interests."
Iran says Hormuz policy won’t be ‘dictated’ by ‘outside forces’
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman says Oman and Iran “took a joint decision to reach a responsible” approach in managing the Strait of Hormuz.
The meeting planned for today with Gulf officials in Muscat was an “opportunity to demonstrate the significance of these decisions,” Esmaeil Baghaei said.
The meeting was cancelled because of “the events unfolding in Yemen,” he added. “Had this meeting taken place, it would have been a very suitable opportunity [to discuss the new policy]. I do not believe any responsible country would accept in any shape, way, or form to be dictated to or be subjected to pressure from any outside forces.”
Iran dismisses Trump's claims of activity at Pickaxe Mountain
Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson said that U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that the United States was monitoring activity at Pickaxe Mountain (Kolang Kouh) was baseless.
Trump had said last week that the U.S. could hit Pickaxe Mountain and urged Iran to be cautious.
Iran seizes properties of nearly 250 ‘traitors’
Iranian authorities have seized properties from 240 people accused of affiliations with Israel and other “hostile countries,” state broadcaster IRIB reports.
The individuals “carried out propaganda or practical actions against the country,” the judiciary said, resulting in “extensive damage” to Iran’s infrastructure.
“These properties belong to the Iranian nation and the judiciary will follow up so that these properties can be used to compensate the victims,” a Ministry of Justice spokesperson told IRIB.
Iran passed an enhanced espionage law last year allowing the death penalty and confiscation of all assets for aiding the U.S., Israel, or any other “hostile” state or group.
Offences range from “conferring legitimacy” to Israel to sharing images or information with foreign networks.
IRGC intercepts, destroys drone over Hormuz
Iran’s IRGC says it has intercepted and destroyed an advanced MQ-1 drone that was flying over the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement reported by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, the IRGC said the interception occurred minutes ago under its new aerospace defense system.
Hormuz: Oman postpones Iran-Gulf meeting
Oman on Monday announced the postponement of a meeting between Iran and Gulf countries on the future of the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic maritime route at the center of the war between Washington and Tehran that has been blocked for months.
"It has been decided to postpone to a later date the regional meeting that was to be held Monday in Salalah, in order to create the conditions conducive to constructive dialogue," Oman’s official news agency ONA reported.
"We remain committed to promoting dialogue that contributes to stability and sustainable cooperation in our region," Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi said on X, adding that the meeting had been postponed "in order to promote consensus."
Tehran had announced the meeting, saying Gulf countries — without specifying which ones — and Iraq would participate. However, no country in the region had confirmed its attendance, while Bahrain said it would not send a representative.
U.S. President Donald Trump said Sunday that he "didn't give a damn" about the meeting. "That's their business," he said.
Houthis report around 50 Saudi airstrikes in Yemen
The pro-Iranian Houthis reported on Sunday 50 Saudi airstrikes on Yemen, particularly on their stronghold in the north of the country, just hours after an attack claimed by these pro-Iranian fighters against a military base in the neighboring kingdom. The Houthis, who announced a maritime blockade against Riyadh in July and targeted its oil tankers, launched a major attack on Tuesday against Saudi Arabia, an ally of the Yemeni government.
Saudi authorities reported dozens of injuries and the temporary shutdown of several oil facilities. The Houthi movement has also inflicted significant setbacks on Yemeni government forces in recent days, seizing the historic port of Mokha and the rest of Yemen's Red Sea coast after a lightning offensive.
This has strengthened its hold on the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a key passage for maritime traffic in the Red Sea. "The criminal Saudi enemy has carried out 58 airstrikes in the past 24 hours, targeting the provinces of Taiz, Lahj, al-Jawf, Hajjah, al-Bayda and Saada, using F-15 aircraft that took off from Khamis Mushait airbase," Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree stated on Telegram.
These provinces are mostly located in the north, like Saada, the stronghold of pro-Iranian fighters, and in the west of the country. The Houthi-affiliated Almasirah channel also reported "artillery fire" in Saada.
Claims that IRGC forces were trapped in Ali Taher tunnels denied by Fars News Agency
Fars News Agency reported that claims circulating on some social media channels that several Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members were trapped in the Ali Taher tunnels are false.
According to the report, only 48 Hezbollah members were stationed in the two tunnels targeted by the Israeli army in Ali Taher. It said eight of the Lebanese fighters were killed.
Relative calm in southern Lebanon Monday, after several Israeli strikes Sunday evening
A relative calm prevails this morning in southern Lebanon, following numerous Israeli airstrikes on Sunday evening. According to our correspondent in the south, the Israeli air force carried out a strike on Mansouri (Sour) at 6:00 a.m. on Monday.
Sunday evening was eventful. Between 7 and 8 p.m., Israeli artillery struck the strategic hill of Ali Taher (Nabatieh). Strikes targeted Mayfadoun and Zawtar Sharqieh, in the same district.
Two strikes targeted Mansouri (Sour), while one strike targeted Wadi Zibqin (Sour). Two strikes were carried out in Qantara (Marjeyoun).
An explosion was reported in Kounine (Bint Jbeil), while a strike targeted the Arich area on the outskirts of Haris (Bint Jbeil).
After 9 p.m., Israeli artillery again struck Ali Taher, before targeting Wadi Zibqine (Sour) and Srebbine (Bint Jbeil). An explosion was also reported in Qantara (Marjayoun).
After 11 p.m., the Israeli army launched flares at Houla and Markaba (Marjayoun). Additionally, Israeli artillery struck Wadi Slouki from the Wadi Hojeir side before firing medium automatic weapons at Wadi Slouki itself. Gunfire was also reported in Beit Yahoun (Bint Jbeil).
At 1:30 am, Israeli artillery launched five missiles at Wadi Hojeir and the outskirts of Touline (Marjayoun).
