An Israeli drone strike on Thursday targeted a car on the Bekaa-Beirut highway at Jamhour-Louaizeh, according to local media. The official National News Agency (NNA) reports that the strike took place on the Araya road towards Jamhour.
Videos on social networks show a car in flames on the side of the road, while other vehicles continue to circulate on the highway.
No information has yet been released on the fate of the person in the targeted car.
The Traffic Management Center (TMC) subsequently announced that the road was blocked on this main route between Araya and Jamhour, due to a “security incident.”
According to images taken by our photographer at the scene, Mohammad Yassine, the army was deployed at the site of the strike, as were the forensic police.
