Entire neighborhoods have been razed in 37 villages in southern Lebanon due to the intensification of Israeli bombardment and ground offensive, reported the National News Agency (NNA).
"The [Israeli] raids and destructive military actions, its army is booby-trapping and destroying entire neighborhoods in cities and towns ... more than one street and neighborhood in 37 towns have been surveyed and their houses destroyed, and more than 40,000 housing units have been completely destroyed, and this is happening in an area three kilometers deep that extends from Naqoura [Sour district] to the outskirts of Khiam [Marjayoun]," the NNA reported.
Earlier in the day, Mohamed Chamseddine, head of research at the Lebanese polling institute Information International, stated in an interview with Asharq al-Awsat, published Tuesday morning, that at least 29 villages have been "completely destroyed" by Israeli forces along a 120-kilometer strip from the Naqoura region (Sour district) to Shebaa (Hasbaya). Chamseddine specifically pointed out the towns of Aita al-Shaab, Kfar Kila, Odaisseh, Houla, Dhayra, Marwahin, Mohaibib, and Khiam, which have been entirely destroyed, along with approximately 25,000 homes.
