Ogero services restored in several southern Lebanese villages

Ogero, the public operator responsible for landlines and internet services in Lebanon, announced Tuesday that it has restored several exchanges in southern Lebanon damaged by the ongoing war in Lebanon. 

“Ogero teams have completed the restoration of service to the exchanges in Baissariyeh, Ghassanieh, and Kawthariyit al-Siyad [in the Nabatieh district], as well as internet service in Douwair, Sharqieh, [both in the Nabatieh district] and Bablieh [Saida], following requests from residents a week ago,” the state-owned operator said in a statement. The company also expressed gratitude to the Lebanese Army for its coordination with Ogero teams.

Since the onset of the Israeli ground offensive in southern Lebanon at the end of September, multiple Ogero exchanges have been affected by airstrikes.
