Five civilians were killed Thursday by rockets launched from Lebanese territory onto the town of Metula, announced the mayor of this northern Israeli town near the Lebanese border.
"There are five dead, a farmer and four foreign agricultural workers," said David Azoulai, the head of the regional council encompassing the town, in a message to AFP. Earlier, the Israeli army reported that two "projectiles" fired from Lebanon had been detected and had "landed in an open area."
