A car was hit by an Israeli drone on the Araya road, on the highway linking Beirut to the Bekaa, some 10 kilometers from the Lebanese capital, reports the official National News Agency (NNA). The driver of the vehicle escaped the shot.
According to information from our local photographer Mohammad Yassine, the army deployed to the scene, along with forensic teams, in order to take readings and launch an investigation.
Several such strikes have taken place in recent weeks on the highway between Beirut and the Bekaa, most notably last Thursday, when a drone strike near Kahaleh killed two people. On Sept. 26, a raid on a car in the same locality seriously injured its driver.
