Israeli strikes on a border crossing between Lebanon and Syria threaten the main transit route for people trying to flee the war in Lebanon, the United Nations said on Friday.
“This really hinders and endangers a real lifeline that people use to flee the conflict in Lebanon and cross into Syria,” said Rula Amin, Middle East spokesperson for the U.N. refugee agency, in a press briefing in Geneva.
