"For your safety, you must evacuate immediately." On Wednesday morning, shortly after nine o'clock, Civil Defense members patrolled the streets of Sour (South Lebanon) urging the remaining residents to leave the city after the constant bombings in the region since the Israeli offensive on Sept 23, 2024. This followed a warning issued by the Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee. "The warning is specifically directed at those in buildings located between Hiram, Jaafar Charafeddine, Abou Dib, and Al-Athar streets. Hezbollah's activities are forcing the Israeli army to act forcefully against it, but it has no intention of harming you," he explained to residents, urging them to head north of the Awali River.
