At least two Israeli strikes targeted Beirut's southern suburbs on Saturday afternoon, according to a security source quoted by AFP and the official National News Agency (NNA).
"Consecutive strikes" targeted the Haret Hreik in Beirut's southern suburbs, according to NNA. A building was hit twice, first by a fighter jet and then a drone. These bombardments totally destroyed the building and damaged surrounding buildings.
The strike follows evacuation orders issued by the Israeli army for two buildings in the neighborhood. The army has also issued similar notices for buildings in Bourj al-Barajneh, also in the southern suburbs, and Choueifat, south of Beirut.
