The Israeli army claimed on Saturday to have found a weapons depot, tunnel openings and warehouses containing combat equipment in a school in southern Lebanon.
In a message on X, Arabic-speaking army spokesman Avichay Adraee said that Israeli forces had “discovered and destroyed a military combat complex in the area of a school in the heart of a Lebanese village where Hezbollah had positioned itself and set up terrorist infrastructure in the middle of the civilian environment.” “In this complex, tunnels contained a stockpile of weapons, including RPG rockets, weapons and other combat equipment,” he said.
The spokesman added that the “seventh Brigade forces continue to fight in southern Lebanon.” “To date, they have found and destroyed more than 120 terrorist infrastructures, several tunnel openings and more than 20 weapons caches. In addition, Air Force planes have bombed dozens of terrorist infrastructures in the region,” he concluded.
