Gasoline and diesel prices rose again in Lebanon on Tuesday, according to a new price list issued by the Energy and Water Ministry. The price of a cylinder of domestic gas jumped by more than 4 dollars. Prices are calculated on the basis of an average reference index used by the Ministry, as well as a formula that includes a certain margin for distributors.
Here are the new rates:
- 20 liters of 95-octane gasoline: 1,460,000 Lebanese pounds (+11,000 LL)
- 20 liters of 98-octane gasoline: 1,500,000 LBP (+11,000 LBP)
- 20 liters of diesel (for vehicles) : 1,342,000 LL (+7,000 LL)
- Domestic gas cylinder: LL 986,000 (+LL42,000)
- Kiloliter of fuel oil (used to power private electric generators): $688.26 (+$4.03).
