Gaza's Health Ministry announced on Tuesday a new death toll of 42,344 in the Palestinian territory since the start of the war with Israel over a year ago.
At least 55 people have been killed in the last 24 hours, it said in a statement, adding that 99,013 people had been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war, triggered by an unprecedented Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
