The U.N. Security Council said on Monday it was "very concerned" after U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon were injured by the Israeli army, which is conducting military operations against Hezbollah in the south of the country.
"In the context of ongoing hostilities along the Blue Line (between Lebanon and Israel), Security Council members expressed their strong concerns after several UNIFIL (UN force in Lebanon) positions were fired upon in recent days. Several peacekeepers were injured," stated the Council's rotating presidency, currently held by Switzerland.
