BEIRUT — In a series of statements released on Friday following a press conference, Hezbollah’s Head of Media Relations, Mohammad Afif Nabulsi, addressed the ongoing conflict and the recent escalation of attacks, "signaling a continued offensive against Israel."
Nabulsi claimed that Israeli forces are concealing their losses following what he described as a “powerful and successful strike deep within Israel.” He also criticized certain local media outlets for circulating information that aligns with Israel’s agenda, stating that they are "spreading Israeli propaganda as part of psychological warfare against the resistance and its people."
Nabulsi dismissed Israel’s claims about targeting weapon depots, describing them as “flimsy excuses” and asserting that these claims "about the presence of weapon depots no longer deceive anyone.”
He also accused Israel of deliberately obstructing rescue operations for civilians trapped under the rubble, particularly in Marjayoun, and doing so "with American collusion and malicious pressure led by the U.S. ambassador,” he said.
Turning to Hezbollah's military strategy, Nabulsi emphasized that the recent strike on Tel Aviv was just the beginning of a broader offensive. “The strike on Tel Aviv is only the beginning,” he warned, adding that the group is managing its resources and timing based on battlefield conditions and that "stockpiles are in good condition.”
On Monday, Hezbollah announced having launched a salvo of rockets on the Israeli Glilot military base, in Tel Aviv's northern suburbs, about 100 kilometers from the border. The Israeli army confirmed that Hezbollah's rockets struck the area and reported injuries as a result.
Addressing concerns about Israeli forces reportedly entering Lebanese villages, Nabulsi urged the public to remain calm. “Do not worry or let your morale drop when you see images of the enemy inside villages, as we have a pre-approved strategy of flexible defense that aligns with the front’s requirements,” he assured.
Israeli forces announced on several occasion their infiltration to Ras al-Naqoura, in Sour district, Mais al-Jabal in Bint Jbeil district, and Yaroun, in Marjayoun district, and Hezbollah repeatedly announced operations against these "attempted infiltrations,'' including strikes against Israeli soldiers on Ras al-Naqoura, Blida and other villages along the border.
Earlier this week, the Israeli army published a video of its forces blowing up one of Yaroun's mosques, claiming that Hezbollah forces were hiding weapons inside the mosque.
In a message to those displaced by the conflict, Nabulsi promised a swift return to their homes, stating, “You will soon return to the southern suburbs, and your homes in the south and the Beqaa, and we will rebuild them better than before.”
Nabulsi concluded by cautioning against premature discussions of political resolutions, saying, “To those betting on defeat: the battle is still in its early stages, and it’s far too soon to talk about political gains.”
