A shipment of aid collected by the Lebanese embassy in Paris arrived Thursday night in Beirut, reports the National News Agency (NNA). This cargo includes a ton of medicine and medical equipment, collected from the Lebanese diaspora in France since September 24, following the escalation of the Israeli offensive in Lebanon.It was received by the Ministry of Health.
The international community and the UN have mobilized over the past two weeks to send tons of medical supplies to Lebanon, where intense Israeli strikes, particularly on Southern Lebanon, the Bekaa, and the southern suburbs of Beirut, have so far caused more than 2,000 deaths. The bombings have forced nearly 1.5 million people to be displaced within the country.
