Hezbollah claimed on Thursday that it struck an "Israeli tank advancing towards Ras Naqoura," along Lebanon's southern coast in the Sour district.
In a statement, the party said it hit the vehicle with "guided missiles," adding that the tank was "destroyed and caught fire," and its crew was "killed or injured."
Since the start of the Israeli ground offensive against southern Lebanon on September 30, Hezbollah has claimed numerous attacks against "infiltration attempts" and soldiers who entered Lebanese territory, particularly in Ras Naqoura and Labbouneh in the west (Sour district), Maroun al-Ras in the center (Bint Jbeil district), and Kfar Kila, Mais al-Jabal, or Odaisseh in the east (Marjayoun district).
So far in the day, the party also claimed five other strikes on Israeli positions near the border, including Kfar Giladi, Kiryat Shmona, and Beit Hillel.
For its part, the Israeli army claimed that around 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon into the Upper Galilee in northern Israel, adding that some fell in the area, according to Haaretz. Also, the army announced that "some" projectiles had been intercepted on its X account.
