Israeli army announces having killed head of one of Hezbollah's main logistics units

The Israeli army claimed on Tuesday to have killed Souheil Hussein Husseini, the head of one of Hezbollah's main logistics units, wrote its Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee on his X account. Husseini was killed “in a targeted strike in Beirut,” again according to the message, described as “urgent.”
No confirmation of Husseini's death has yet been issued by the party, which has not officially announced any deaths in its ranks for over a week.
“This unit is considered to be one of Hezbollah's main logistics units, dealing with budgets and the organization of the various units,” continued the spokesman. According to him, Husseini was one of those responsible for transporting weapons and equipment between Iran and Hezbollah and distributing them to the various combatant groups. He was also “a member of the Jihad Council, the party's highest military council.”
