Lebanon's cabinet issued a new directive to the General Directorate of Customs on Monday, requesting the regular submission of a comprehensive list of donations, aid and goods entering Lebanese territory.
The list must include details about any monetary or material donations received by public administrations, government institutions, municipalities and their unions, as well as by international organizations and local associations.
Also, the cabinet specified that the list must account for goods that have entered Lebanon under special authorizations, excluding items intended for the security and military services of embassies.
This measure, part of the caretaker Prime Minister's directives, aims to enhance the monitoring of foreign aid and imported goods, which continue to flow amid the ongoing war in Lebanon.
