Tehran has already prepared its response plan in case Israel conducts an attack on Iranian territory, a local media outlet reported on Sunday, citing a military source.

On Tuesday evening, Iran launched 200 missiles towards Israel in its second direct attack against its sworn enemy, following missile and drone strikes in April. Iran stated that its attack was a retaliatory measure for the assassinations of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and a senior Iranian general, Abbas Nilforoushan, who were killed in an Israeli strike on Sept. 27.

Israel said it is preparing a response to the Iranian missile attack.

"The necessary response project in the face of a possible action by the Zionists is fully ready, and if Israel acts, the Iranian counterattack will be implemented," the Tasnim agency stated on Sunday, citing a military source. Iran "has a list of many Israeli targets," and Tuesday's operation "demonstrated that we can demolish any point we wish," the source added.

The day before, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that "for every action, there will be a proportional and similar reaction from Iran, and even a stronger one."

Earlier on Sunday, Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad visited a key oil facility in the country amid concerns about possible Israeli strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure.

U.S. President Joe Biden advised Israel on Friday against targeting Iran's oil facilities, which are among the world's top 10 oil producers.
