Israeli media, including Channel 12 television, which was picked up by some Lebanese media, reported in the morning that a Hezbollah incursion into Galilee had taken place at dawn on Thursday. Asked by L'Orient-Le Jour, a Hezbollah source categorically denied any incursion today by the party's fighters beyond the borders.
The information was not confirmed by any major Israeli newspapers, and it was gradually removed from the media in which it appeared.
The war between Hezbollah and Israel since Oct. 8, 2023, has taken a dramatic turn since last week, with the explosion of thousands of communications devices held by Hezbollah members on Sept. 17 and 18, followed by the assassination of several leaders of the party's elite unit in the southern suburbs on Friday, then the intensification of Israeli airstrikes on different Lebanese regions since Monday, leaving more than 600 dead and thousands injured.
