Residents of southern Lebanon received messages and phone calls on Monday morning from "Israelis," urging them to "stay away until further notice from villages where Hezbollah weapons are stored," according to our correspondent in the region.

Organizations also received calls from foreign numbers and messages, including the Lebanese Civil Defense Center in Jwayya, east of Sour. A representative from this center told L'Orient-Le Jour that they had "received a call urging evacuation" of the building. However, this official stated, "We will continue to carry out our missions in the South."

Zeina, who lives in Sour, reported to L'OLJ that she received three such messages since this morning. She believes they are "threats and psychological warfare" and says she does not give them much importance. She insists she will stay home "no matter what."

In this context, the Israeli army spokesperson called on the residents of southern Lebanon on Monday to distance themselves from Hezbollah positions. "We advise civilians in Lebanese villages located inside or near buildings and areas used by Hezbollah for military purposes, such as those used to store weapons, to take shelter immediately for their own safety," stated the army spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, during a press briefing.

These warnings were issued as the Israeli army announced this morning that it had launched a large-scale operation against "Hezbollah targets" in Lebanon, heavily striking the South and the Bekaa. According to the army, more than "150" strikes have been conducted, as reported by Haaretz. The Lebanese Ministry of Health has so far reported one death and around 15 injuries, particularly in Hermel and Aitaroun.
