Friday's Israeli strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut killed 12 people and injured 66 others. The Israeli army claimed it targeted Hezbollah top commander Ibrahim Aqil, involved in the 1983 bombings of the American embassy in Lebanon. This strike comes in the same week as the deadly exploding pager and walkie-talkie attacks of Tuesday and Wednesday, which killed over 37 people and injured over 3,000 others.
