A Hezbollah anti-tank rocket attack has injured eight people in northern Israel, according to the Israeli daily Haaretz, while other media outlets also reported one death. The announcement comes shortly after a strike claimed by the party.
This attack, carried out at 7:45 a.m. according to the movement, targeted an Israeli "assembly point for soldiers" in Margaliot, located opposite the Lebanese village of Markaba (Marjayoun). Hezbollah said it "caused deaths and injuries."
According to Haaretz, "eight Israelis" were injured in these "Hezbollah anti-tank rocket attacks." The Israeli army says it responded "toward the source of the attack." The Israeli media outlet said six of them were evacuated to Ziv Hospital in Safed and were lightly to moderately injured. Two others were evacuated to Haifa, in more serious condition.
Videos circulating in the Israeli media indicate that the rockets fell in an area near Margaliot, in the region of the "Finger of Galilee," opposite the villages in the Marjayoun district of Lebanon.
