Caretaker Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and his wife May visited the Lebanese delegation to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris at the Olympic Village on Saturday afternoon, a Grand Serail press release published on X announced. The couple was welcomed by Lebanon's Olympic Committee president, Pierre Jalkh, its secretary-general, Jawdat Shaker, mission head, François Saade, and several members of the delegation.

"I am very happy and satisfied with the presence of the Lebanese at the Olympic Games and the participation of the Lebanese Olympic Committee in all sporting events. I know it takes them a lot of time, but that's because they believe in Lebanon," Mikati said. "I'm proud of the Lebanese athletes representing Lebanon, and wish them every success and medals from the bottom of my heart."

Lebanon has sent 9 athletes to Paris, including several who will compete this Saturday.
