Hezbollah, a Shiite 'hero' but not a national one

What do Lebanese people really think about Hezbollah? In a study published this month, the Arab Barometer, a research center gauging Arab public opinion on controversial subjects, estimated that 85 percent of Shiites in Lebanon "trust" or "highly trust" the party, an increase of seven percent compared to 2022. However, among other sects, the percentage of trust, significantly lower, has remained the same over the past two years: nine percent among Sunnis and Druze, and six percent among Christians.
