Israeli Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar held a “crucial meeting” with senior Air Force and regional brigade commanders in the Military Northern Command to discuss and intensify preparations for increased readiness in northern Israel, according to a post on X by Israeli military's spokesperson Avichay Adraee.

In a session aimed at evaluating and enhancing the current security posture, the commanders also held "a situation assessment session with Northern Command Commander Maj. Gen. Uri Gordin, where they followed up on the continued protection of northern communities, the process of raising readiness for an attack in Lebanon, and the cooperation between the Northern Command and the Air Force," according to the post.

The last few weeks have been marked by increasing threats from the Israeli side against Lebanon, as it continues to exchange daily attacks with Hezbollah since Oct. 8.

Over 470 Lebanese people, mainly Hezbollah members, have been killed by Israeli strikes since the beginning of the conflict, according to L’Orient Today’s count. Over 90,000 Lebanese people were displaced from their homes due to the conflict in recent months, and around 60,000 people from northern Israel as well.
