Until April 2024, every day had been the same in southern Lebanon for the past six months, after the start of the war between Hezbollah and Israel. The latter relentlessly bombed the border strip (and sometimes beyond), killing civilians and fighters and destroying entire villages.Hezbollah, despite its bellicose rhetoric, limited itself to timid and often harmless bombardments of northern Israel.
