Turkey's Erdogan arrives in Baghdad for first visit in years

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan landed Monday at Baghdad's international airport, Iraq's official Al-Ikhbariya TV reported, at the start of his first state visit to the neighbouring country in more than a decade.

Erdogan is due to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani and President Abdel Latif Rashid in the capital Baghdad for talks on oil, regional security and water resources, and oversee the signing of several bilateral agreements, officials have said.
