UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday urged implementation of the first Security Council resolution demanding a cease-fire in Gaza after Israel voiced anger.

"This resolution must be implemented. Failure would be unforgivable," Guterres wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
