A man was killed on Sunday while he was trying to stop an exchange of fire between members of the families of Qassem and Sabra in the village of Kfar Shallan (Dinnieh) in North Lebanon, sources told L'Orient-Le Jour's correspondent in the north.
According to sources from the village, a fight occurred between members of the Sabra and Qassem families about the shares of food supplies which led to an exchange of fire.
Mahmoud Amran, who was killed while trying to stop the fight, was shot in his stomach before he was taken to a hospital in Zgharta shortly before he scummed to his wounds.
The Lebanese Army soon came to the scene and took measures to contain it and restore peace.
