BEIRUT —Hezbollah MP Ali Fayyad declared that the Israeli attack that killed three Hezbollah paramedics Monday afternoon in the village of Adaisseh "will not go unpunished," according to state-run National News Agency.

The Islamic Health Association, Hezbollah' medical branch, announced the deaths of three of its members: Hussein Ibrahim, born in 1970 and originally from Adaisseh, and Ali Souaidane and Abbas Hojeir, born in 1962 and 1993 respectively and both originally from Adsheet, in Nabatieh district.

That same evening, Hezbollah announced that it carried out an attack in response to the killings when the party fired Katyusha missiles on the Israeli village of Ghesher Haziv.

The Islamic Health Organization pointed out that the Israeli attack was "the third of its kind on Civil Defense centers since the start of this war." On Jan. 11, an Israeli attack on a center in Hanine killed two first responders and on Feb. 22, an attack killed another two rescue workers.

"This crime will not go unpunished," said Fayyad, speaking from the southern Lebanese village of Adsheet during the commemoration ceremony of two of the rescue workers who were killed.

"The enemy seeks to increase the cost of our confrontation so he continues to kill and destroy. We acknowledge his ability to destroy, kill and be brutal, but destruction will not lead to his victory, nor will killing lead to achieving his goals."

He also said that the visits to Lebanon made by delegates and diplomats seeking for the situation to return the way it was before Oct. 7 will "not lead to any results."

United States Special Envoy Amos Hochstein came to Lebanon on Monday where he expressed his support for a diplomatic solution regarding the cross-border fighting between Hezbollah and Israel.

Fayyad said that the only solution is for Israel to stop its war on Gaza and to stop targeting southern Lebanese villages.
