The Energy and Water Ministry, which also regulates diesel, heating oil and domestic gas rates, increased the price, in Lebanese pounds, of gasoline once more this week.

According to the charts published by the ministry on Wednesday – a day late due to the strike at the time by civil servants – and Friday, the price for gasoline rose by LL 16,000 – or $0.18 when converted at a market rate of LL 89,500 – which comes at time when world oil prices have moderately increased since the start of the year.

On the other hand, the price of diesel fell by a total of LL 4,000 during this same period (around $0.04), while the price of a standard 10kg domestic gas cylinder remained stable. Lastly, the price of a kiloliter of heating oil – the only one priced in foreign currency – fell by a total of $3.36 in one week.

Here are the latest prices:

- 20 liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL 1,657,000 (+LL 16,000).

- 20 liters of 98 octane gasoline: LL 1,695,000 (+LL 16,000).

- 20 liters of diesel (for vehicles): LL 1,609,000 (-LL 4,000).

- Domestic gas cylinder: LL 944,000 (unchanged).
