Two people from two rival families shot at each other on Sunday in a brawl on the main street of Burj al-Arab (Akkar), injuring at least two people, reports our correspondent in the region.
A soldier who happened to be passing the street at the same time was wounded and taken to al-Kheir hospital. Another person was also injured, adds our correspondent. The circumstances of this incident are currently unknown.
The street in question was temporarily blocked and traffic was diverted. The Lebanese Army was dispatched to restore calm. An investigation has been launched to find the shooters.
The shots and stray bullets caused damage to properties and cars parked nearby.
