In a series of cross-border attacks, an anti-tank missile was fired on Monday from Lebanon, striking a kibbutz in northern Israel near the Lebanese border, according to Haaretz. No casualties were reported. Several additional missiles targeted the Mount Dov region but landed in open areas.
Local Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar and the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that shells fell on the hills of al-Hamames in South Lebanon. An-Nahar and Al-Mayadeen also reported that Israeli shells fell on the outskirts of Khiam, in the Marjayoun district, and on the periphery of Labbouneh in the Tyre district, with Israeli artillery targeting the area.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for striking a "gathering" of Israeli soldiers around 1 a.m. on Monday near Shtula, as stated in a communique shared on the Shiite party's Telegram channel. The Israeli army had earlier reported that three of its soldiers suffered minor injuries from mortar fire originating from Lebanon, and were receiving medical care. Hezbollah also claimed strikes on al-Baghdadi on Monday morning, and on Ruwaisat al-Alam near Kfar Shouba and the Shebaa Farms later in the day. Concurrently, Israeli artillery bombarded Kfar Shouba, as reported by TV networks Al-Jadeed and Al-Araby.
Israeli artillery fire hit the outskirts of Mays al-Jabal in the Marjayoun area on Monday morning, reported NNA and Al Araby TV. Surrounding areas, including Mhaibib, were also shelled according to Hezbollah's Al Manar TV and Al Araby TV. Before this, residents of Bint Jbeil had reported hearing explosions believed to be from Israeli shelling, though the exact locations were undetermined.
Early Monday, residents of Bint Jbeil heard explosion noises that could have been Israeli shells, but could not pinpoint where they landed.
On Sunday evening, five shells fell on the outskirts of Marwahine in the Tyre district. Around midnight, Israeli forces targeted the al-Raheb forest west of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district with incendiary bombs and surrounding areas were shelled. Around twenty-five shells hit the outskirts of the villages of Beit Lif and Ramieh, according to security sources, residents and NNA.
Early Sunday morning, Israeli artillery shelled the area between the villages of Odaisseh and Kfar Kila, as well as the outskirts of Khiam, Aita al-Shaab, Ramieh, Beit Lif, and Rmaish in the Marjayoun and Bint Jbeil districts, confirmed by security sources and residents. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) told L'Orient Today about the 1 a.m. bombings in Aita al-Shaab. By 1:30 a.m., roughly 80 shells had fallen in these areas. Residents also reported that flares were fired over Kfar Kila, causing a fire at Tallet al-Awaidah on the edge of Odaisseh. UNIFIL also confirmed to our publication that Aita al-Shaab was bombarded again at 5 a.m. on Monday.
