BEIRUT — Najlaa Mikati, the sister of Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, passed away in Jordan on Monday after battling with an illness, the Lebanese state-run National News Agency reported Tuesday.
Her funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon, and she will be buried “in the family cemetery in Umm Al-Hiran, Amman, the capital of Jordan,” an official announcement of her death noted.

“Condolences will be accepted in Beirut on Monday, Oct. 2, at the [seaside] Pavilion hall [formerly known as Biel] from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.,” the announcement concluded.
